Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace and gives travelers seamless access to ground transportation online, from search to ticket purchase. We have built a cutting-edge B2B technology platform that connects bus, rail, and ferry operators in 70+ countries with the biggest online retailers, including Google Maps and Booking.com.
We are shaping the future of travel and building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers. We are one of the fastest growing startups in travel, backed by two leading VCs (TQ Ventures & Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are ready to push beyond.
We are looking for an International Expansion Manager to help launch our business in different parts of the world and lead Business Development teams across entry-stage markets. The role will report directly to our Director of Global Markets.
What you will do:
Lead Distribusion’s roadmap of new market launches, defining priorities, allocating resources, designing and executing the strategy that best fits Distribusion’s goals
Be responsible for growing and developing the 0 to 1 of Distribusion’s global network of airport bus, rail, and public transport operators in our new markets.
Develop frameworks, models, and data analytics infrastructure for decision-making in our country's portfolio.
Lead a team of Business Development representatives across several markets and support the team in achieving commercial excellence.
Join key stakeholder meetings and be hands-on on commercial pitching together with the team.
Work closely with the tech, product, retail, and finance teams to ensure smooth integration, ramp-up, and ongoing operations.
Workplace:
We are looking for this role to be based in Germany, preferably in our headquarters in Berlin.
We are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and our HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.
Job requirements
Who you are:
5+ years of business development experience or Management Consulting, ideally at a high-growth company (experience in technology/software company, travel agency, transportation, and logistics industry is an advantage but not a must)
You are analytical and data-driven, leveraging insights to inform decision-making, allocate resources effectively, and optimize processes.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Strong strategic thinking enables you to navigate complex, cross-functional challenges, from market entry strategies to stakeholder management.
You have exceptional leadership skills, empowering and guiding business development teams to achieve commercial excellence across diverse regions.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy the challenge of building scalable business solutions in new and evolving markets.
You are fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Highly interested in sales and partner management, eager to prove yourself by achieving and exceeding goals
Capacity to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
You have international exposure and participated in projects that involved launching new markets for tech-related businesses
You are driven, ambitious, and willing to get hands-on in shaping the future of ground transportation travel.
You show ownership and responsibility for your problem space.
