We are looking for an experienced People Operations professional passionate about empowering a growing organisation by building the People infrastructure and delivering a great people experience. This is a Leading role, leading a small team at the start and it reports to Ana, the VP of People.

What you will do:

  • Drive projects aimed at refining and advancing our People Operations framework to support a world-class employee life cycle.

  • Implement employment set-up in multiple locations in collaboration with Finance.

  • Own HRIS product from configuration to maintenance to user experience, including its further development.

  • Collaborate closely with Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation & Benefits to implement strategies that continuously improve employee experience and operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement an analytics framework that aligns with Distribusion’s strategic objectives, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

  • Drive initiatives that ensure an excellent employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off-boarding.

  • Ensure all People Operations activities not only comply with legal standards but also set industry benchmarks through innovative practices.


Workplace: Berlin & Hybrid

We are looking for this role based at our headquarters in Berlin. We are a remote-first company, with teams around the Globe and our HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.

Job requirements

Who you are:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in roles such as People Operations or HR generalist at companies that went through transformational phases or high growth.
  • Experience onboarding international team members and managing visa processes.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and German labor laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of designing and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience managing projects.
  • In-depth understanding of HR compliance, with a knack for integrating technology to enhance compliance measures.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and a keen interest in leveraging AI and other emerging technologies.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in English and German, both verbal and written.
