We're on the hunt for a Product Manager, Stations to shape and build our locational data, the critical backbone of all our products. You'll ensure that every booking and API call is powered by accurate, consistent content, driving seamless, reliable experiences across every interaction.
What you will do:
Understand all elements of our master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform.
Collaborate with the team to make key decisions around data structure, such as de-duplicating stations, defining station hierarchies in the API, and establishing when and how to translate or transliterate content.
Lead initiatives to update and improve content metadata, incorporating new sources of data to enhance the quality and completeness of descriptive content.
Define and enforce the standards for descriptive content and location data across the platform, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.
Drive the adoption of AI tools for managing multilingual data, balancing automation with human oversight where necessary.
Workplace:
We are mainly looking for this role to be based within Germany, preferably in our HQ in Berlin.
We are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and our HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.
Job requirements
Who you are:
You are a skilled Product Manager with experience in managing large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency even when data reliability varies.
You have successfully led localization and globalization projects, navigating the complexities of different markets and languages.
You have a strong track record of making data content and product decisions that directly impact users, particularly in the B2B space.
You have expertise in working with multilingual datasets, understanding the nuances of translations and transliterations, and knowing when to adapt or break standard rules.
You're familiar with key publicly available geo-based datasets, such as Google Places API and OpenStreetMap API, and how to leverage them effectively.
You’ve built and led cross-functional teams, driving collaboration to achieve project goals.Additionally, you’ve planned and launched automated text products, creating dynamic content based on structured datasets, and have experience building processes and managing small teams.
