We are expanding our presence in Southeast Asia and China and are seeking a Senior Business Developer to focus on acquiring new and managing relationships with existing key travel retailers and OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) in the region.
What you will do:
Identify and target key travel retailers and OTAs across Southeast Asia and China for partnership opportunities. Own the hunting and farming of these accounts.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to sign new travel retailer partners to the Distribusion platform.
Own end-to-end sales process: prospecting, lead generation, pitching, CRM maintenance, etc. Be proactive and do whatever it takes to get new retailers on our platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, understanding their needs and ensuring they are effectively integrated into our platform.
Drive sales and revenue growth by securing high-impact partnerships that align with Distribusion’s strategic goals.
Collaborate with internal teams, BizDev, Integrations, Product, Finance, to develop tailored solutions and successfully onboard retailers to our platform.
Workplace:
This role is remote-first, and can be located in China or somewhere in Southeast Asia
Job requirements
Who you are:
You have at least 7+ years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on the travel industry and partnerships with OTAs and travel retailers
Deep understanding of the China and Southeast Asian market, including key players, market trends, and regulatory environment
Demonstrated success in securing and managing strategic partnerships, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities and make data-driven decisions
You are fluent in English (spoken and written) and Chinese
You have had some international exposure working with global teams at a high-performance job
Willingness to travel as needed across Southeast Asia and China to meet with partners and attend industry events
