We are looking for a strategic IT Support Engineer to build and scale Distribusion’s IT infrastructure during a period of rapid growth. This role is pivotal in streamlining IT processes, providing day-to-day technical support, and implementing robust security measures to protect company assets and ensure compliance. By addressing immediate IT needs and laying a foundation for future scalability, the IT Administrator will have a significant impact on company operations and long-term growth, supporting the overall mission of efficiency, security, and scalability.

What you will do:

  • You will work on-site in Berlin and report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Core.

  • Document troubleshooting procedures, workflows, and user guides in the internal IT Confluence space.

  • You will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of hardware, including workstations, printers, mobile phones, and other peripheral devices, and will handle and move IT equipment when needed, including items up to 15 kg.

  • Maintain office network infrastructure and help support connectivity for other locations.

  • Manage local vendors such as ISPs, telecom providers, and hardware suppliers, together with your manager.

  • You will take care of access control measures such as roles and account management.

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding following defined processes.

  • Support the rollout and maintenance of employee tools such as email, calendar, document storage, and video conferencing.

  • Provide day-to-day IT support through our ticketing system, Jira Service Management, and Slack, for colleagues across the company.

  • Contribute to IT infrastructure improvements and other internal IT projects and services (great learning opportunity!).

Workplace: Onsite in Berlin

We are mainly looking for this role to be based in Berlin, Germany.

Job requirements

Who you are:

  • You communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.

  • You have hands-on experience in technical support, IT support, or a similar service desk role, or equivalent practical experience gained through relevant education or training.

  • You have experience in system and network administration and understand core concepts such as DHCP, routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, SAML, RBAC, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

  • You have solid working knowledge of macOS and Windows. Experience with Linux is a plus.

  • You have experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, license and asset management systems, system imaging, and cloud-based identity platforms. Experience with office networking platforms such as Meraki or Ubiquiti is a plus.

  • You enjoy solving problems, automating operational tasks, and helping colleagues.

  • You are reliable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day IT tasks.

  • You work well with others, but you are also comfortable working independently. You have a strong work ethic and want to keep learning.

  • You are customer-obsessed and take pride in delivering a great support experience.
