How we hire
Our interview process is designed to find people who will thrive in our organisation with diverse expertise. We work on it with a continuous-improvement mindset, within a defined frame. Here’s what to expect.
Important to know
The interviews
All interviews are conducted over Google Meet, and we can accommodate a variety of time zones. We also leverage the functionality of our ATS, Recruitee, for video & questionnaire submission.
For Engineering roles, we use code review and system design exercises. For the other technical roles in DT, we use samples of our work and want to test your affinity for it and how you think through it.
Most interviews are conversational. We want to understand how you think through problems and what draws you to this work. You’ll also have time to ask us about DT. We want this to be a two-way conversation.
What we are looking for
Tech & Product: We look for the ability to understand our technically complex ecosystem and turn it into scalable products, not just build for the ideal case. Strong ownership and product judgment are essential to success. Commercial & Partnerships: we look for consultative, trust-building salespeople rather than fast, transactional closers. We value patience through long deal cycles, and the commercial rigour to negotiate with both sides of the marketplace. Corporate functions: we’re looking for people who bring clarity, judgment, and a genuine interest in the mission. We look for people with a builder mindset and a service orientation.
AI usage in our application process
While we use AI tools in our day-to-day for better collaboration, we do expect you to bring your authentic self to the interview process. So please do not use AI assistants during the interviews. We want to understand your interest in Distribusion Technologies without mediation through an AI system, and we also want to evaluate your non-AI-assisted thinking process and communication skills.
