Distribusion is rapidly expanding and seeking a Head of Payments to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and building out our Payments team. You will contribute to scaling our Financial Services offering to support our customers’ growth ambitions across our global footprint. You will play a key role in optimising our processes to enhance efficiency and generate financial returns.
What you will do:
Lead international supplier payout management and reconciliation, including:
Contract negotiations
Cost reduction initiatives
RFI/RFP creation and execution
Selection and implementation of third-party solution providers
Reducing payment failure rates and increasing coverage aligned with company growth
Drive end-to-end integration of international agent commission payment processes into the Payments department
Manage card payments (merchant services, payment processors, gateways), reconciliation, and vendor registration
Handle finance/payment-related inquiries from corporate clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects with Sales, Product & Tech, and Operations to optimize workflows, develop strategies, and align data flow
Standardize collections reconciliation processes and documentation to improve efficiency and minimize backlog
Collaborate with Business Intelligence for KPI definition, performance monitoring (e.g. via Looker), and payment data analysis
Track and analyze payment industry trends to inform strategic decisions
Develop and deliver internal training materials and workshops on finance workflows, cross-departmental processes, and onboarding

Job requirements
Who you are:
Experienced Payments professional (5-7 years).
Strong all-round understanding of payment processes and working with PSPs.
Industry experience in travel is preferred.
Detailed understanding of transaction flows within a complex payment chain.
Experience designing, automating and running treasuryprocesses.
Experience running/ designing reconciliation and control processes.
A proactive, tenacious, task-focused problem solver who excels in building robust processes that scale, and is not afraid to roll up sleeves and take responsibility to do whatever needs to be done to solve problems.
Excellent analytical and spreadsheet skills.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of PSD2 requirements (and dealing with the Bafin).
