As we expand our operations and offerings Globally, we are looking for a Senior Business Developer to lead our business initiatives in Rail, focusing on acquiring and onboarding new partners, as well as managing relationships.


What you will do:
  • Lead our sales strategy and execution for our rail segment.

  • Grow and develop Distribusion’s global network of rail transport operators globally, with Europe as a priority.

  • Source and build new business opportunities with our existing rail partners via participating in competitive tender processes.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including rail operators, rail authorities, and other industry partners.

  • Coordinate with the partnerships team to fully execute all tech requirements for each rail operator.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop promotional strategies that enhance partner visibility and engagement.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, BizDev, Integrations, Product, and Finance to develop tailored solutions and successfully onboard partners to our platform.


Workplace:
This role is remote, in Europe, reporting to our commercial team and working with global stakeholders.

Job requirements

Who you are:

  • You have at least 10+ years of experience in business development roles and public sector tender processes, ideally at a high-growth company.

  • You have experience in a tech company and the rail industry.

  • Track record of sales and partner management experience at a high-growth company, with a track record of achieving and exceeding goals.

  • Capacity to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with minimal guidance

  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with partners and attend industry events

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written); an additional fluent language is a big bonus.
