Job description
Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace and gives travelers seamless access to ground transportation online, from search to ticket purchase. We have built a cutting-edge B2B technology platform that connects bus, rail, and ferry operators in 70+ countries with the biggest online retailers, including Google Maps and booking.com.
We are shaping the future of travel and building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers. We are one of the fastest growing startups in travel, backed by two leading VCs (TQ Ventures & Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are ready to push beyond.
As a Payment Operations Analyst in our Payment Operations teams, you will be responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions across our platform, leveraging past operational experience in a B2C e-commerce travel industry. This role involves analyzing transaction patterns, assessing risk, operational work, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we deliver a secure and seamless experience for our users.
What you will do:
Execute Payment Checks: Perform routine payment reviews (every couple of hours) using internal tools or large data exports to identify and mitigate high-risk transactions.
Fraud Rule Management: Take proactive decisions and actions regarding anti-fraud rules across all Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and platforms to boost payment acceptance and keep fraud levels low.
Chargeback Ownership: Take full ownership of the chargeback lifecycle, including daily monitoring, processing, investigation, and preparing necessary documentation (evidence).
Customer/Partner Support: Handle and process payment-related tasks and queries escalated by the Customer Service team, ensuring swift and accurate resolution.
Crossfunctional Cooperation and Partner Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for White Label partners and other external partners to assist with fraud prevention measures and share critical chargeback or fraud-related insights.
Workflow Creation: Define, document, and implement new, efficient operational workflows and processes for payment operations across the company.
Reporting & KPIs: Define and create key reporting metrics (KPIs) to track, monitor, and report on critical operational performance indicators, specifically fraud rates and payment acceptance.
Workplace: Remote
We have teams located around the Globe, and our HQ office is in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.
