Job description
Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace and gives travelers seamless access to ground transportation online, from search to ticket purchase. We have built a cutting-edge B2B technology platform that connects bus, rail, and ferry operators in 70+ countries with the biggest online retailers, including Google Maps and Booking.com.
We are shaping the future of travel and building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers. Having grown 10x in the past year, we are one of the fastest-growing startups in travel. Backed by four leading VCs (TQ Ventures, Creandum, Northzone, and Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80 m Series C, we are ready to push beyond.
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our eCommerce Solutions team to ensure a deep understanding of our product landscape, helping to identify gaps between new projects and existing features while allowing product managers to focus on delivering their own products and features effectively. This is a multiplier role — raising standards across UX, quality, and delivery — and driving a clear platform narrative across the company.
What you will do:
Deliver High-Quality Designs: Create intuitive and engaging experiences for both user-facing and business-facing products, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms. This includes:
Designing clear interfaces for loyalty features, user accounts, and payment flows.
Creating efficient, functional dashboards and back-office tools for transport operators.
Maintaining a consistent design system to streamline development and ensure visual coherence.
Collaborate Effectively with Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on requirements and outcomes. This includes:
Presenting design concepts clearly through wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
Incorporating feedback into iterative improvements.
Balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
User-Centered Design: Ensure designs are simple, functional, and user-friendly by applying UX best practices and continuous iteration. This includes:
Conducting user research and usability testing.
Translating complex workflows into seamless, accessible, and intuitive user journeys.
Iterating quickly based on feedback and evolving requirements.
Workplace:
We are mainly looking for this role to be based within Germany, preferably in our HQ in Berlin. We are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and open for talent based elsewhere.
Job requirements
Who you are:
At least 2–3 years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer.
Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile product design.
Advanced proficiency with Figma (our core design tool), including design systems and prototyping.
Deep knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
User-centric mindset: able to empathize with end-users and translate needs into elegant design solutions.
Strong communication skills: able to explain design decisions persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborative and adaptable: experienced working with agile product teams and iterating quickly.
Familiarity with front-end collaboration (HTML/CSS understanding) is a plus.
As a plus:
Experience in mobility, travel, or B2B2C platforms.
Background in designing checkout/payment flows or loyalty systems.
What you can expect:
You will join a fast-paced travel tech company and take on a rapidly growing industry.
You will take on ownership and responsibility from day one and have a direct impact on the success of the company.
We value agility! We’re constantly updating our tech stack and offer the best possible tools to ensure all of our in-house engineers, partners, and carriers benefit from cutting-edge, efficient solutions.
You will work with global companies. Our product attracts the biggest names in travel technology, such as Booking.com and Google Maps, and national carriers like Amtrak, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe, and SNCF.
You will join an international team of talented and driven people with a clear mission. Expect your colleagues to inspire, support and challenge you every day!
We offer flexible and remote working conditions, relocation opportunities and career growth in a small and developing company.
